Nick's Halloween Page

Hi! My name is Nick.

So, you might picture me as a Santa, and I have often played the role. However, even though my namesake is St. Nick, Xmas and St. Nick's Day are not my favorite holidays. That honor goes to Halloween.

In these pages I hope to share some ideas and things about what Halloween means to me, and things that you can use in your classes, homes, parties, etc.

I am starting this page a few weeks before Halloween 2007. I am not able to host a party this year, and not expecting to be invited to any, so this will be my virtual Halloween.

You are all invited to join. Enjoy.

A few pics from past parties until the photo page comes.

Well, if I don't get to doing more before this Halloween, please check again next year. I will probably be adding off and on.

What's in a name?

Nov. 1st is a Roman Catholic holy day,
and a holiday in some countries.
Today it is called "All Saints' Day" however, in the past it was known as
All Hallows' Day, Hallow meaning
holy or saint.
The night before a holiday is its 'eve', as in
New Year's Eve.
So the eve of All Hallows' Day would be
All Hallows' Eve, -> Hallows' Eve -> Hallow eve,
or just plain old Halloween!

A long time ago :)

In Praha

Not a common Halloween event, but I love a good bath. At Mlynecek, 2003, my last good Halloween party.

And, of course, the one thing you MUST have are pictures... and watching them while still at the party is even more fun!
