Explanation and discussion:

We use CAPITAL letters in the following cases:

  • Abbreviations where the first letter of the words would normally be capitalized
    • place names
    • company names
    • titles
    • etc.
  • Abbreviations of major units with numbers (but not minor units)
  • References to God, the Bible, etc.
  • Certain technical terms and abbreviations
  • Certain letters standing alone or in combination with other terms
