Note: There are many types of fractures, including:
  • A comminuted fracture - the bone is broken into many small pieces or crushed.
  • A complete fracture - the bone is broken into two pieces.
  • An open fracture - the bone sticks through the skin.
  • A simple fracture - the bone doesn't break the skin.
  • A single fracture - the bone is broken in only one place.
